About This Trip
This 5‑day land travel package starts with an early‑morning departure from Islamabad, traversing Mansehra, Shinkiari, Battagram and the Karakoram Highway, crossing the Indus River and passing Besham, Dasu and the Diamer‑Bhasha dam sites before a night stay in Chilas. The second day drives to Astore Valley, visits Astore Bazaar and Rama, with a jeep ascent to a hotel/guest house and a visit to Rama Lake for photography. On day three a morning walk near the Polo ground is followed by a drive back to Chilas, a jeep ride to Tato Village and a 2‑hour trek to Fairy Meadows where campers stay in huts or tents. Day four offers free time for photography, sunrise and sunset views, with an optional trek to Nanga Parbat Base Camp, including a glacier crossing and a stop at Biyal. The final day departs early for Islamabad, passing scenic peaks such as Bagrote, Rakaposhi and Haramosh before arrival.
