Hushe Valley is situated at the south of the great-glaciated region of Baltoro and serves as the approach route to the south faces of the Karakoram. The area offers opportunities to trek to base camps and climb trekking peaks. East of Hushe is the Charakusa Valley featuring the granite face of K7 (6934m), one of the world's largest, first climbed in 1984. On the upper Charakusa glacier is Link Sar (7041m) and on the south side is K6 (7281m). The area between Spangser and K7 base camp is a climber's paradise with several 5000m peaks.
