About This Trip
The world’s ninth highest peak and 2nd highest in the Himalayan range of Pakistan Camping beneath Nanga Parbat “The sleeping beauty” is an unforgettable experience. Within just 2 weeks, we do the gentle trek (two different routes) to the base camp of Nanga Parbat (8125m./26650ft), the world’s ninth highest peak and 2nd highest in the Himalayan range of Pakistan. After driving from Islamabad to Chilas on the amazing Karakoram Highway, we transfer by 4×4 jeeps to the villages of Tato or Tarashing and make the short walk to our next camp. Camping beneath Nanga Parbat “The sleeping beauty” is an unforgettable experience. We have time to trek to the mountains base camp and nearby viewpoints. The second half of our journey is based around the picturesque old Hunza capital of Karimabad, where our selection of day hikes and excursions includes an amazing variety of sights, such as the Utar Icefall and the bustling bazaar at Gilgit.
