With a height difference of less than 200 meters, both peaks offer similar climbing durations, high camps, and technical challenges—making them ideal objectives for experienced mountaineers seeking adventure in the Karakoram. Our expedition begins with a scenic drive from Islamabad along the legendary Karakoram Highway to Chilas (approx. 12 hours). From Chilas, we continue to Upper Hunza Valley and stay in Gulmit, a peaceful village near Karimabad. From Gulmit, 4×4 jeeps take us to Borit Lake, the trek starting point. A 4-hour scenic trek across lush pastures and alongside the magnificent Passu Glacier leads us to Passu Ghar (summer pasture campsite).
