Overview

A 14-day guided jeep safari following the historic Silk Road and Karakoram Highway from Islamabad, visiting Peshawar, crossing the Lowari Pass to Chitral for a visit to the Kalash valleys, then driving via Chilas and Gilgit to Hunza Valley. The route continues to Sust and Gulmit near the Khunjerab Pass before returning through Gilgit and Besham. Highlights include views of Nanga Parbat, Rakaposhi and Diran Peak, the 7th-century Kargha Buddha in Gilgit, and the junction of the Karakoram, Himalaya and Hindukush ranges.
